Crawler Loader

Often called a track loader, a crawler loader is one of the most common kinds of loader used in construction. It features a "loader" (a scoop, bucket, or shovel) extending from the front of the machine used for loading loose debris from an excavation site into a dump truck. Unlike other loaders, it also has heavy rubber crawlers or tread. The advantage to having a crawl loader is its maneuverability. The tread on each side of crawler loaders can move independently. That means you can move one side forward and the other backward and turn in an extremely tight circle, making crawler loaders ideal in tight construction situations. Crawler loaders often feature optional attachments including plows, brooms, blades, forks, grapples, rakes, and more.

Because crawler loaders can be compact, they are often more practical for residential use than other heavy equipment. At the same time, there are also larger models intended for construction companies. As a result, crawler loaders can be owned by large companies or residential workers alike. One of the most common reasons to purchase a crawler loader is to become an independent contractor and provide usage for a fee. If that is your purpose, you should look into the larger models. They are much more efficient and are more likely to be needed in various environments.

Crawler Loaders for Rent. Though crawler loaders can be relatively inexpensive, they are often more practical to rent than to own. You can rent them daily, weekly, or monthly depending on your need. The longer you keep a loader, the cheaper it is per day. Depending on the model, crawler loaders rent daily for $200-$800, weekly for $800-$2600, and monthly for $2000-$8000. For rates in your area see Construction Equipment for Rent.
